A valve terminal is a bank of pneumatic valves placed conveniently in one place to dramatically reduce piping and wiring on machines. These devices keep the pneumatics of complex systems simple, compact and accessible to a wide variety of users.
Valve terminals offer centralized control and system-wide regulation of pneumatic components, with multi-pin or fieldbus connections. They also feature a number of functional options, including installed vacuum modules and hot swap functions for replacing pneumatic valves.
In addition, a variety of valve manifold variants are available for installation in control cabinets. These include base ported manifolds, which eliminate individual bulkhead connections and save space in a cabinet. Porting is also available on the top of a manifold.
Valves can be fitted to a manifold using a socket connector, or via the multi-pin plugs for individual wiring of each valve (usually 24VDC). Some manifolds allow the minus side of each valve to be wired to the common of all valves.
