Solenoids aren't the smallest or most complicated parts of machinery, but they're often the most troublesome.
When a solenoid valve stops working, it can cause a lot of damage. As a result, it's important to have a strong understanding of how to troubleshoot the problem so you can fix it right.

LOUD BUZZING
If your solenoid valve is buzzing loudly, it could be an indication that it's getting too hot or that there's a problem with the power supply. In this case, it's essential to disconnect the valve and get the issue corrected immediately.

COIL FAILURE
If the coil on your solenoid valve isn't functioning properly, it may be a problem with the voltage it receives or that the circuitry is shorted. This can happen if you're using the wrong type of coil or if it isn't compatible with your power source.

PASSING PROBLEM
If a valve isn't passing, it's typically due to a foreign object or some other problem in the stem. Depending on the issue, you may need to remove it and clean it out, or replace the diaphragm, seat, or plunger tube.

ARMTURE TEARING
If your solenoid valve is showing signs of tears in the diaphragm, it may be time to replace it. These tears are a sign that the armature is getting too much pressure. This can damage the valve body and armature tube assembly. It can also cause the diaphragm to rip, which can damage the internal components of the valve.
